The structure of various cutting tools is composed of clamping parts and working parts. The whole structure, the clamping part and the working part of the tool are all arranged on the cutter body; the working part (cutter tooth or blade) of the inserted tooth structure tool is inlaid on the cutter body.
The clamping part of the tool has two kinds: the bore and the handle. The tool with holes is sheathed on the spindle or mandrel of the machine tool, and the torque is transmitted by the axial key or the end face, such as cylindrical milling cutter and sleeve type face milling cutter.
A cutter with a handle usually has three sides: a rectangular shank, a cylindrical handle and a taper shank. The general lathe tool, planer rectangular handle; tapered shank taper on the axial thrust, and the friction torque; cylindrical shank is generally applicable to small twist drill, milling cutter, cutting through the clamping friction force generated when the transfer torque. The shank of many cutting tools is made of low alloy steel, while the work part is welded with high speed steel to weld the two part.
Part of the work is part of the tool for generating and processing chip, including the blade, the cutting broken or wound structure, chip or chip storage space, cutting fluid channel and other structural elements. Some work is part of the cutting tool, such as turning, boring and milling cutter, etc.; some of the work tool includes a cutting portion and a calibration part, such as drill drill reamer taps and the inner surface of the broach. The function of the cutting part is to remove the chip with the cutting edge. The part of the calibration is to repair the machined surface and guide the cutting tool.
