First, the processing characteristics of aluminum alloy

The main features of milling aluminum alloy are as follows;

1 、 aluminum alloy end mill hardness is low

Compared to titanium alloy and other hardened steel, the hardness of aluminum alloy is lower, of course, the hardness of heat treatment or die casting aluminum alloy is also very high. Ordinary aluminum plate HRC hardness is generally below HRC40 degrees. Therefore, when machining aluminum alloy, the tool load is small. Because of the better thermal conductivity of the aluminum alloy, the cutting temperature of the milling aluminum alloy is relatively low, and the milling speed can be improved.

2, aluminum alloy end mill plasticity is low

Aluminum alloy has low plasticity and low melting point. The problem of sticking tool is serious, the chip removal performance is poor and the surface roughness is relatively high when machining aluminum alloy. In fact, the processing of aluminum alloy is mainly sticky knife and roughness, the effect is not good. As long as the two problems of sticking knife and processing surface quality are solved, the problem of aluminum alloy processing can be solved easily.

3 、 tool wear easily

Because of the unsuitable cutting tool material, the cutting tool wear tends to be accelerated because of sticking, cutting and chip removing.
